New this year: Varsity and JV Guards!
Welcome back to our fabulous Knights Color Guard who started practicing this week. Color Guard camp has started and the main focus for the week is learning the choreography for the fall marching season. There are twenty five women divided into junior varsity and varsity groups. This is a new process this year that will allow the team to grow even bigger than it has been in the past. They will work Monday through Friday this week from 8 to 5:30 working on flag and rifle technique along with dance in preparation for an amazing marching routine for the fall. And in the winter season the junior varsity will compete in the Novice division and the varsity team will compete in the Regional A division of the Texas Color Guard Circuit.
The Guard is enjoying getting to know our new Director, Nichole Clyburn, and Assistant Color Guard Director, Zoea Holubec. It’s going to be an amazing year!
