Congratulations to our students who performed in the Region 17 Clinic and Concert on Saturday. It was an incredible event. Well done to all!

Congratulations to the Beauty and the Beast Pit Orchestra, Mr. Zavalla, and the entire Clear Falls Performing Arts community on their first week of performances.

The show will continue Jan 31-Feb 2, 2019 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults, and $10 for children. Tickets can be purchased online at https://clearfalls.booktix.com or via cash or check at the door. Tickets are almost sold out so please buy them early.

Notes for Parents & Students:

  • Please check Spring Trip totals on Charms and send in payment as needed. (Information on Logging in to Charms).
  • Final Spring Trip payment is $380 due on Friday, February 1.
  • The Mandatory Spring Trip meeting will be held at Clear Falls on February 19th at 7:00 pm for those going on the trip and a parent. All information regarding the trip will be given out at this meeting (including Federal policies for flying).
  • BAND BOOSTER GENERAL MEETING! Tuesday February 5th, 6:30 pm at CFHS Band Hall. We are proposing many things and we need as many parents there to vote on some action items!
  • Concert Band Uniform fittings will be held after school on the weeks of February 11th and 18th. More information to follow.
  • olor Guard will need some student crew members to help with the floor on Saturday. If you are interested please see Mr. Zavalla.

UIL Solo and Ensemble Participants

For students participating in the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest (on February 9), there are a few updates:

  • The second rehearsal, originally scheduled for January 31, is now rescheduled to February 7. This date is closer to the performance date on February 9.
  • The fee for the accompanist is $35. Please pay in cash or make a check payable to Betsy Brownlee, NOT CFHS Band.
  • The fee for performing a SOLO is $10 per student. Please pay cash or make a check payable to CFHS BAND.
  • The fee for performing an ENSEMBLE is $8 per student (not per ensemble). Please pay cash or make a check payable to CFHS BAND.

Guard Corner

  • Winter Guard rehearsals Monday and Wednesday 5:30- 8:30 pm at Mossman gym.
  • Saturday is SHOW DAY!
    • Arrive at Falls at 8 am, Bus Leaves at 8:30 am.
    • Performance: 11:47 am
    • Location: Turner HS, 4717 Bailey Rd Pearland, TX 77584.
    • Gen. Admission is $10
    • Immediately after the performance, we will load the truck and head back to Falls. We will not stay for retreat.
    • ETA Back at Falls is 1:30 pm.
